So hi, Noel here. Yes, Rae and I have been married for 1 year already! Time flies really fast. ^^ Actually, as of this writing, we have been married for 1 year and 7 days already. Just a random fact you might be interested in. XD

Anyway, so a little back story. Why did we, or rather I, choose a prom-themed anniversary? Yes, it was me, because this was a surprise for her. Well, if she knew that there was a surprise coming, does it still count as a surprise because she doesn’t know what it specifically is? Ah, a question good for debate. But with that aside, I chose a prom-themed celebration because Rae told me before that her prom back then was… shall we just less than pleasant? And while my prom was more pleasant than hers (I got to go with my best friend back then, so no complaints really ^^), I did want to be able to be her date on a prom, and maybe help her remove all the bad memories of her official prom. Haha. XD

This was actually quite hard to prepare, as she is the type of person who pretty much ruins surprises for her by having the ability to smell out secret preparations… or something like that. So yeah, I did tell her we’d be doing something for our anniversary, but it would be a surprise. So, yeah, there. XD

Preparations weren’t that bad, but of course, it was nerve-wracking trying to hide things from her, or well, maybe in general, I’m just a paranoid person. Haha. I think the most stressful part was knowing that Picasso wouldn’t have an early check-in available at the time (although praise God, we got to check in at 1:30PM!)… wait, I take that back. The most stressful part was waiting for the balloons Nio ordered for the styling of the room. I mean, they said they would arrive at 1:30 but they didn’t! I couldn’t leave the hotel until I at least knew preparations were almost done. But well, everything fell into place, and Rae was totally surprised, and she was happy about it. And when she’s happy, I’m happy. Yay. XD

Of course, I couldn’t let this special experience for both of us pass by without proper documentation, even if we both hate getting our pictures taken (yes, that’s why we opted for roles BEHIND the camera XD), so I got one of our Quirky Photographers Angie to shoot a few portraits of us. So to all present and future Quirky Creatives clients, if we crazy people who aren’t that crazy to get in front of the camera can do it, so can you! XD And of course, Angie shot us in the way that only we can do: the QC way.

Enjoy the photos. :)
