Hi, Noel here! As you may have noticed, there has been a long hiatus in the postings here in the blog. We’d like to apologize for that, as in October, I came down with some sickness (actually, at this point I’m still kinda sick, sadly), and then in November was the Yolanda, and of course, me and my team didn’t really feel like posting anything; we just wanted to first help out the victims of the storm in any way that we could. By the way, one of the ways we are going to help is the Inspire Initiative. Click on the link to know more about this photo shoot for a cause. :)
Anyway, for some inspirational stuff to start this week off, just this year, my wife Rae and I were invited by fashion designer and our dear friend Curitthy Manzanero to watch a fashion show that she would be a part of, and so we did. We’re glad we did, because we were witnesses on how these different designers were able to make amazing creations out of the natural materials and resources of the Philippines. I’d describe them more but I don’t have any degree in fashion speak. Just think that they were able to make even school uniforms(!) look interesting. :D
We’re proud to show this stuff off, as we at Quirky Creatives are proud to be Filipinos, and we’re proud of our countrymen. :D
Oh and side note, the day before we worked with model Anne Barker, she was here working the runway. What a nice little coincidence. Haha. XD
This event was part of of the 2013 Neo-Ethnic Philippine Textile Conference, by the Philippine Textile Research Institute/Department of Science and Technology.
Enjoy the photos and the awesome creations by the designers. :)
